Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

EventOSports (EventOSports Inc.) is a local sports social network available at eventosports.com (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these terms of use and our Privacy Policy, which is part of them. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. Eligibility — 14 and older

You must be 14 or older to create an account. By signing up, you confirm your age. The Service is not intended for children under 14.

3. Your account

You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Your password is confidential: you're responsible for the activity on your account and you must notify us promptly at privacy@eventosports.com if you believe it's been compromised.

Organizations (municipalities, schools, nonprofits, businesses) can create organization, venue and facility listings. If you create or manage an organization, you confirm you're authorized to represent it and you're responsible for the accuracy of its listings.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you publish (profile, photos, messages, activities). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence limited to what's needed to operate, display and improve the Service. This licence ends when you remove your content or delete your account, except for copies already shared with other members (for example, messages you sent them) and temporary technical backups.

You warrant that your content doesn't violate anyone's rights (intellectual property, privacy, image) and is not illegal, defamatory or hateful. We may remove any content that breaches these terms.

5. Organizing an activity or managing a venue

When you organize an activity, you warrant that it's legal and safe and that you hold the necessary permissions for the chosen location. You notify participants as soon as possible of any change or cancellation.

When you manage a venue or a booking and add other people to it (participants, guests), you confirm you have their permission to give us their contact information (name, email) so we can notify them.

6. Joining an activity

Playing sports involves risks. You join activities at your own risk: assess your physical condition, your level and the safety of the location. EventOSports publishes activities but doesn't organize the events, doesn't inspect the locations and isn't responsible for what happens on site. If you cancel your participation, notify the organizer as soon as possible.

7. Your conduct

On EventOSports, you agree to:

• not impersonate anyone or create an account for someone else;
• not harass, intimidate or threaten other members — you can block a member at any time;
• not publish illegal, hateful, defamatory or misleading content;
• not collect data about members (scraping, bots) or circumvent security measures;
• not use the Service for unauthorized commercial purposes or spread advertising on it.

8. Intellectual property

The Service (code, design, text, logos, the EventOSports brand) belongs to us or is used under licence. You may not copy, modify or exploit it beyond normal use of the Service without our written permission.

9. Warranties and liability

The Service is provided "as is", with no guarantee of continuous availability or freedom from errors. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for indirect damages is limited. Nothing in these terms limits the obligations the law imposes on us mandatorily, particularly regarding the protection of personal information and the notification of privacy incidents.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, with or without notice depending on severity.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify EventOSports against third-party claims arising from your breach of these terms, your content or the activities you organize.

11. Closing and deleting your account

You can close your account at any time by writing to privacy@eventosports.com. Deletion of your information follows the Privacy Policy (response within 30 days).

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute falls under the competent courts of the judicial district of Québec.

13. Changes

We may change these terms. The last-updated date then changes and, for significant changes, we notify you before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after notice means you accept them; otherwise, you can close your account.
